So far this year we have had some great conditions . So far we have had 4 hunters and 3 of them harvested nice lions with their bows. Our first hunter only hunted 2 days and we did not cut a track in those 2 days however he will be returning in January to continue his hunt. On average in good conditions we usually cut a track every 3rd day.

The game warden said it was one of the largest bears he had ever seen taken by a hunter. The bear weighed 380 lbs dressed and was estimated to be 450-470 live weight. One of our clients, also harvested the largest elk we have ever taken. A beautiful 7 x 8 that we rough scored at 360". Also our youngest hunter 12 year old Chase from Florida harvested a beautiful 5 x 6 his first time out with a muzzleloader at 40 yards.
3rd Season: This season we had 11 hunters, 1 deer only hunter and 10 elk hunters. Our deer hunter shot a nice buck on the first morning of his hunt. Our Elk hunters also did great. 6 out of 10 shot nice bulls, with 3 of the other hunters passing on smaller bulls and 1 hunter had to leave early due to business and did not harvest an elk. All in all another great week at Fulldraw!
4th Season proved to be a tough hunt this year. We had three clients and all saw lots of elk, however legal bulls did not present shots.

1st week - Archery Elk started off great. Our own Michele smoked a cow elk on video for Muzzy's new TV show that will air next year on the Outdoor Channel and client Alan Ladd from Alaska saw over ten different bulls and made a great 4 hour stalk and shot his 6 x 5 bull in his bed at 20 yards. We have more elk hunters arriving next week so far we are 100%.
Our own Fred Eichler harvested a beautiful 300+ inch bull on video this week and Wright from Georgia took his first elk ever. Wright shot his 320 class bull from a treestand. We have more elk hunters in this week and will let you know how it goes. So far we are 4 for 4!!!
2nd week - This week we had 7 archery elk hunters. All of our clients saw 6 x 6 bulls, three shots were missed and one small bull passed on. All clients had close encounters, the elk just edged us out this week.
3rd week - We had 6 archery elk hunters in camp. Two harvested bulls and the other 4 were all into elk with several close encounters under 30 yards.

First week of Archery Antelope season we had 9 hunters in camp. All the hunters saw multiple trophy antelope. We had 8 shots missed and three beautiful bucks harvested. A couple of the guys put in their time but did not have a shot opportunity. The largest grosses approx. 72 inches. The hunt started off with dry weather but unfortunately a storm rolled in on day two that was bad enough that we had to pull hunters from the blinds because of lightning.
Week Two was amazing. Out of 11 hunters 8 harvested bucks and we had 19 missed shots. The weather was perfect and the antelope were everywhere. Second week ended up incredible with 100% shot opportunity for all the hunters. Click on the link above to see photos.
Third week has been another great week. Out of 10 hunters we had 5 bucks killed, 5 missed shots and a couple of small bucks passed up. Only one hunter did not have a shot opportunity.
Fourth week has started out with flooding rain. Pueblo Colorado had cars stranded due to the flash flood. We are hopeful we can dry out as there are a ton of great bucks running around . Despite a flood the day they arrived and more rain on day 3 our 10 hunters did great given the circumstances. They harvest 2 bucks and we had three bucks missed.
Fifth week we had 2 hunters both saw multiple trophy bucks, but the wet weather made it nearly impossible to figure out where they would drink. Unfortunately neither hunter had a shot opportunity.
Six week we had one client who harvested a doe after several shot opportunities at bucks as well as our own Michele Eichler who harvest a small buck.

Colorado
All in all it was an amazing spring season here in Colorado. As in Nebraska we were 100% on shot opportunities. We had 15 clients and all of them had close shots on birds with 11 clients connecting. This finished up our turkey season with 26 birds harvested by our clients.
Nebraska
Nebraska hunts are done and we were 100% on shot opportunities with all but 2 hunters harvesting turkeys with their bows. With a total of 15 birds harvested and several missed.
Our last group of hunters finished up today along with our own Fred and Michele Eichler. Making our 2007 Nebraska hunts a great success. With six hunters this week 5 hunters harvested 7 birds (two of our hunters chose to harvest a second bird) with the last hunter missing. All in all a great spring season.
Our 2nd group of 5 hunters all had a blast. They were not able to hunt the first morning due to high winds, rain and flooding. However, with the high number of birds in the area 4 of them harvested nice birds with their bows and the 5th hunter missed on several opportunities.
Nebraska archery turkey has been awesome so far with hundreds of birds being seen every day. Our first group of 4 hunters from New York all shot mature toms with there bows.
2006/2007 Mountain Lion
Well this will go down as our worst Mt Lion season ever. It was feast or famine with the snow making it nearly impossible to run the 200,000 acres of private ranches we lease. The month of March offered no snow. Hopefully next year the weather will cooperate. There are lots of mt lions on the mesa, so next year should be a good one.
Too much snow has been the story for the last couple of month. Be careful what you wish for, well we got it! 4 foot on the ground. It is just now getting better where we can cover the 200,000 acres of ground we have.
Our first two lion hunters both got to experience an exciting hunt. Ted from Michigan had a close call with a beautiful tom that our dogs treed. Our second hunter Dave from Indiana was on the trail with Fred when we ran out of light and had to pull the dogs off a big tom track. We are waiting for more snow and should have some good stories soon.
